SPITFIRE 1994 to 1996
SPITFIRE were a Southern Western Australian based Metal band which formed
late 1994 and played the majority of their gigs at parties around Albany, W.A.
They did however play a few blinding shows at The Albany Hotel and
The Premier Hotel before breaking up Mid-1996.
Damien Offer recalls, " We weren't renound for our crowd pleasing set lists
playing mainly Original tunes, old Metallica, Black Sabbath, Megadeth, Pantera
Slayer along with some stuff like The Monkees, Sex Pistols, Led Zep and AC/DC.
I remember people used to come up and ask me if we knew any Nirvana or
something or yell out - Play something we all know!
But we played songs we enjoyed to play not because it's on MTV or something.
I'd just laugh and belt out another obscure Sabbath song people should all know.
That's what I call Rock n Roll."
